Gia Grimm joined Smithey Law Group, as an Associate, in 2021 where she focuses on a wide variety of employment and labor law issues including gender, race, age, and disability discrimination. Gia also works closely with members of the Maryland State Legislature to ensure passage of important bills impacting Marylanders.
Prior to joining SLG, Ms. Grimm served as a Law Clerk to The Honorable Elizabeth S. Morris in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court. Ms. Grimm is a graduate of American University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Law and Society with a Social Sciences Concentration. Gia received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
While attending law school, Gia was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Journal for Race, Gender, Religion and Class and was a Rose Zetzer Fellow for the Women Leadership and Equality Program. Gia also served as a Writing Fellow, where she worked with other students to enhance their legal writing skills, and as Class President during her Third Year.
