Lauren Agresti has represented Maryland residents and businesses in litigation and transactions for over five years. At Smithey Law Group, her focus is on individuals facing discrimination and retaliation in the workplace, as well as securing accommodations, negotiating equity compensation and severance packages, appealing terminations, and navigating internal workplace proceedings and investigations.
Lauren has experience with the entire litigation cycle, from initiating suit to discovery to motions practice and trial support. She takes a problem-solving approach to dispute management and understands clients’ need for solution-oriented service. Her transactional experience gives her a keen eye for structuring and restructuring relationships to facilitate clear communication and avoid thorny problems before they emerge.
Lauren holds a law degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. A Maryland native, she graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School.
Lauren regularly speaks at events serving new and emerging businesses in Maryland. She also volunteers to register voters and observe polls during local and national elections and provides pro bono consultations to self-represented litigants at the Circuit Court for Howard County.
